Loss of Young Status

I lost young status on my account with only one character who has 530 skill points, after playing for two nights and well under 60 hours. What happened?

I believe there is a skill point restriction. It might be 500, I'm not sure though.

You are allowed 3 accounts here so you should have 2 more to start with young player status.
Putting in a new unique account name at the login screen will auto create your new accounts.

There is a skill cap but it's 600. My char's real skill is only 226, as I've only been mining and hiding and the original 50 in inscription/magery.

I dunno. Either I clicked something by accident (which I'm pretty sure didn't happen bc I came back after being afk for a few minutes to the message), There's a restriction I'm not aware of, or some kind of glitch occurred.

there's also play time
did you kill someone or go criminal?
that will take it away..

Ah, that's a good thought. I didn't think of that, but nope. I was afk in a mine for a bit, holding onto my ore. I lost power for a bit, came back and the ore was on the ground, then had to do something for a few, so I was holding it. I came back and had the message that my wisp taught me all it could. =(

Been trying to get a hold of a GM in game, but no luck with timing as of last night/this morning.

Young status can also be taken away by staff if the young in question is doing something a young shouldn't be doing -- such as afk resource gathering, or IDOCing, etc

Yeah, I was told that I mined too much in a day for a young. I definitely was not afk resource gathering.
Well the good news is, it sounds as though you are good on your own without the young status -- which is not something that can be said about most new players.

Yeah, it's all good. Like my second day playing after a decade, but I understand you have to be wary of bots and all. And I'm fine just mining away.

I love UO crafting, which is why I headed straight to the mines.
