A few questions..

I started my crafter off and I have been helped out enormously by a few players in game. My training is going well. So far I have burned around d 3K ingots to reach 72 Smith and my mining is at 77.

I'm not a pure crafter, I wanna be able to hunt a little and gather leather. Main reason I'm making this guy's is to supply my dexers.

I'm going for
Smith
Mining
Tailor
Mage
Evel
Med.

Still out on last skill. Thinking some in hiding.

Question I have is so far I have done my training in brit. It's safe, uses less ingots and get more back recycling?

Is the extra skill gain I .the orc cave worth the trade off for the extra ingots used. I am crafting then smelting back down. Also where do I get the power scrolls? Are these bod rewards?

Seems to have been quick so far and I mined a good stash and had some given too.

I had to clear my young status but was wondering how likely I am to get murdered in the orc cave also.

If orc players are in the cave they might very well kill you. One of the orc player's houses is almost right next to the cave entrance. Maybe you can make a deal with them? Or find a time when they aren't playing. As a miner they may figure killing you isn't worth the time if you aren't carrying much. Or you could get an orc mask and mine as an orc? "Me um sell metals to stoopid oomies." Sorry my orc isn't fluent...

Well. I've never tracked skill gains, but I read skill gains are faster in dungeons. So might be worth the risk. I may try it myself.

You might try tracking, it has a huge range (almost 100 tiles at GM) and it plays into the style of character you are trying to build.

Title will grandmaster ranger if you so choose until you use powerscrolls for your crafting skills anyway, although that's usually thought of as more of a conservative role than maiming and slaughtering wildlife lol

I train my Smith's in orc dungeon over using the CG bonus. Save a few orc masks and expect losses, as long as they don't get into unacceptable territory during high traffic hours.

You can take your time and get PS as rewards from the BOD system, that's how I leveled almost all of my crafters/BOD runners (5 @ 120/120)
