The new T map changes...

so I’ve been playing since March 2018 and I started a treasure hunter to get started and I love it and it was and still is my favorite way to farm.

So the last month or so all of a sudden now there is regular items in the chests that I dig up.

Before it was 100% any item was a magic unidentified item. Now there are regular items with no properties.

Has anyone else notice this? It’s a very recent change.

I haven't been mapping as much as I used to, but that's a colossal pain in the ass, I'd rather see less items, than see non magical crap in those chests.

Nc if its every chest or every other chest but i assumed all chest have at least 1 non magical item.. I do 15 25 maps a day throw everything in chest and b4 i start next day ill id and theres always 10 or more non magical items

All for this too but is it really a game changer if you get a non magical item when you have a chance of spawning something that could get you something good??

It's a pain that I'm looting them all, and sorting it all, for 7 gp when I sell it all. I mean I can build a script to junk these when I'm ID'n them, but that just seems pointless.

What if one pulls out an example.. ancient wyrm/balron and you get a statue 100k-300k or a taming skill scroll 200k-300k does it really matter if you only get 7gp by wasting one id?? I say double loot in chest b4 we take away!!

It's all good - to be honest, it's a minor hassle that doesn't make/break the system, it just wasn't that way before and don't understand why it would change, I'd rather see it changed back. With that said, I'm losing nothing but time, and space in my sorting home because of this change currently, and as I said, I haven't actively being doing tmaps.

Tell me that the magical items in the chests are still in line with the charts posted on the Wiki, and I'm content again.

Is that gold amount average??
And theres no greater dragon to ever come out of a uoforever chest!!
And ill count when i get on tonight too see but thats pretty close, but i have a feeling its average too... Also you have a chance of an rda on every chest that also makes up for one non magical item per chest

That's a fair point I want greater dragons :)

I mean I'm not going to be upset over +/- a couple magical items, but if there used to be 6 on a level 1, and now there are 5 non magical, and one magical.. that's pretty weak...

It would be nice to get away from osi chest mobs and make up some new ones or like you said add to them shadow wyrm greater dragon etc ...update tmaps

I'd love to see a small percentage for special chests (anything over level 4), where it spawns some sort of rare deco loot that's exclusive to treasure hunters (I'd like to see that in all activities, their own exclusive deco loot).

I think that'd push people to T-hunt a lot more, and give you that warm gushy feeling when you get something entirely rare.

but it didn't used to be like that. it used to be 100% all magical items. only recently are there spawning non magical items. why the sudden change idk...

that chart from the wiki is wrong and has always been wrong. someone copied it from some other place. for example the gold that drops is more than posted in the chart, and elder dragons don't spawn on lvl 6 maps and i cannot say for sure about the amount of items that spawn in each chest since now there are non magical items. so its less than that number shown

probably average but i always get more gold than posted. and yes the RDA makes up for it but still. its a very recent change and i was just curious as to why this has happened?

amazing idea. id love to see the same. fishermen get rares that only spawn from fishing, why can't T hunters get a special item/rare from doing tmaps?

RDA frags.. which lead to even more rares/powerscrolls/relics. MOTM spawns from TMaps, extra tmaps from Tmaps. Its pretty good how it is. Anything more there would be no point in doing anything else.

The idea would be to have tmap themed rares have a chance to drop, just like fishing themed rares do... I also think that monster hunter contracts could do the same thing raise the chance for a reward slightly and add some hunter specific items.. all aesthetic clothing or house deco stuff, nothing that impacts game play..

I'd also re look at BOD rewards and add some stuff in for the avid BOD'r.. people dig their pixels.. the more you offer up the more activities people will do!

I'd even add some in specific to champs and RDA's because why not??
