OK, so I checked out some of the new adjusted ARs today.

Metal armor seemed to be about the same. A Valorite archer dropped to 48AR (from 49AR), but DC went up to 41AR (from 35AR). OK, I can live with that.
Leather armors got smashed pretty good across the board. A Barbed Bone set w/ Studded gorget dropped to 42AR (from 50AR).

But I was SHOCKED when I put on my Barbed Runic Studded set. It used to be like 65AR, and now was 44AR. OUCH!!!! So that basically just destroyed the value of Barbed RSKs. Thanks!!!!

@halygon was this drastic of a change for RSK armor intended???

It is a change on the base armor properties. Since Magical & Exceptional properties only boost the base AR by a percentage, they are impacted by this change.

As you can see, it makes mages much more squishy, which in the end is a boost for dexxors. If you check RSK Bone armor, the reduction is not so bad.

A different way to look at it is, since ALL armor is lowered in AR, then technically they are all on the same level still except for the leathers that are lowered a bit more than other types.

Just checking. I guess this just means RSK leather suits are still as desirable

Well yeah because they get exceptional + magical properties where normal drops will only have magical properties. Mages gotta wear some armor, so they will wear the best they can get.

Runics are, but normal barbed leather isnt selling anymore, used to restock vendor 2-3 times a week, only sold 1 set in the last 3 weeks... Looks like I need to hurry up and save to get my blacksmithing to 120 so I can make some dragon scale stuff...

Not to derail the thread, but since mentioned dragon plate...

Is there anything in the works to introduce magical dragon plate.

It would be worth it for a dexxer to invest in dragon plate even if invul AR was the same.

Do you know what Seelendolch meant when he said this?

" You can still use runes to make slayer dragon scale armour "

Yes.

He means those red arcane symbols that monsters sometimes drop. There's a special kind of forge (soul forge? I'm not sure) to make slayer armor.

Slayer armor works like slayer weapons; instead of doing double damage (weapon) the armor would reduce all damage from a monster type: Dragon slayer armor would reduce all damage from dragons by 1/2

It is a Crystal Workbench that's used to imbue slayer properties on to armor.
