TALISMAN TRAINNING SPOT

Hello to all,

I am a new player and I came to play here with a brazillian guild.

Well, since I've been playing here. I've notice everyone has a talisman lvl10 and I was reaching level 10 as well in one of the "talisman trainning spots", but now staff has messed with it and blocked all talisman trainning spots.

So Let me ask you, why do you hate new players?

ALL OLD PLAYERS HAVE A LVL 10 TALISMAN BECAUSE THEY HAD THIS SPOT TO TRAIN. BUT NOT ME OR ANY NEW PLAYERS.

THIS IS NOT FAIR, THIS IS RACISM AGAINST NEW PLAYERS. WHY CANT WE TRAIN OUR TALISMAN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?????????

I am sorry you feel this way bud... I am leveling my meta as well but feel that is part of the game... To feel a sense of achievement. Will their be exploits at the beginning? Yes of course and the staff tries to minimize and remove such exploits to balance the game and make it fun and challenging. You feel that the hate new players... I feel that they are trying to make the game better for new players IMO.

On top of that I feel as though you might receive some backlash from tamers because leveling a meta-pet is far more challenging than the talisman.

My recommendation is to go through the world attacking mobs and figure out which ones you like fighting and that give you good XP.

Why are you currently farming?

If you want help I would be happy to talk more.

hmmmm....

I have heard this argument before on other items. One thing I must stress is that by preventing further players from taking advantage of what is now considered a bug, is not in any way a discriminatory measure. There is no way for the dev staff to know who at this point took advantage of a "training spot" and who didn't. It would be unfair to wipe the level progression on all talismans.

The only option left is to stop further abuse and ensure that the progression for talismans is where it should be and not fast-tracked. It may seem unfair that you cannot take advantage of what others in the past have, but it is the only fair method for everyone.

How can newplayers compete with old players???? I need to play for a year, everyday to get talsiman lvl 10 without spots to train.

if you gonna be fair you should be fair for everyone. You made this game impossible for ALL new players, not just me.

Talisman reset should be the viable option. Then everyone would be at the same stage or...

Or instead of blockng those spots, you just leave them for everyone to train there. It is a highly marked spot for PK's anyway, its not garanteed you will level there.

To be fair, I reported a bug a while back after I realized my talisman was level 10 over night and it was reset from level 10 to level 2.... Dunno why some people have their stuff reset and others do not. It's almost as if the people who 'do the right thing' and report bugs, get their shit ruined and the people who take advantage of and exploit it get away with it..

Also, it should probably be noted in the rules on the forums what is and is not against the rules in regards to leveling up dexer/mage talisman. The communication is lacking between staff and players and sometimes from staff member to staff member.

There are really not that many people with maxxed out talismans, and those that do, only a fraction of them actually macro'd them. Eppy has been pretty vigilant in stopping/preventing this - he has even wiped out some that he actually caught afk macroing talismans.

Talisman's were never meant to be a quick completion. There are quite a few that have grinded and grinded and maxxed out their talismans in short order - so its definitely not impossible for anyone, new or veteran. Asking for them to be easy to gain, while they are end-game content, is not something that will be done.

That would be fine and all, Halygon, had it not been the fact that previous players had taken advantage of said training spot and are now grandfathered. What does this mean? It means that while hindsight is only 20/20, what was a 'feature' for some people that will automagically get grandfathered because they were existing players, will now not be a thing for new ones. You've made it harder for newbies to train up their own meta talismans (of which I am not one, because I am interested in PvP primarily and PvE only as a method of gathering resources).

You cannot have it both ways: claim that it is an unfair advantage, and then pat veteran players on the back who may or may not have benefited from this issue and then correct it against newer players only. AFK macroing is against the rules and should be punished yes, but grinding/XP gathering probably shouldn't. Certainly retroactive adjustments would be seen as more fair than the current predicament of only cutting off at the 'from now on' line.

I could be wrong, given that I only received very partial information on the whole issue, but so far that's what I am seeing. And besides, remember this:

I did train my meta dex all the way to level 10. I tried the afk macro thing and decided it was too slow and I didn't want to run my computer all night for a month. So I did it with slayer weapons and could get up to 10x the xp actually playing the game.

So you think I (and everyone else) should have their talisman wiped? Sorry the grind is a lot but it can be done.

Side note: I did macro my relics as this is considered Ok and there is no benefit from active gaming. It is actually more efficient to macro relics than play the game. Which is something to be addressed at some point.

As it stands you will be level 10 way quicker playing than you would have been sitting somewhere shooting a mob for hours and hours.

This is only true for DEXXERS, what about the rest???????????

There are like more than 1000 characthers with talisman lvl 10, in the T B A alliance there are like 250+ characthers with talisman level 10.

Some people have their 9 characthers with full lvl 10 talisman, and it is not just one. Other day a very old player showed me his resource gathered (miner) with a full berseker talisman level 10. He went to rikktor champ with this miner using a pickaxe and did 150k damage.

If talisman adds 200% damage bonus, just anwser me how can i compete with someone level 10? Like in champion spawn or something that requires damage, or even invasions??? IF I CAN NOT TRAIN IT PROPERLY LIKE THE REST OF THE SHARD DID.

My point is that this is a non-issue. Gaining exp on talismans have not changed, only bugged areas have been fixed. Unless caught in the act, there is no way for us to know if a given player used these bugged areas or grinded as expected. Resetting all talismans is not an option as it will punish a huge population for the actions of just a handful. A handful that will probably never impact you in your daily gaming.

can we please look into tamed pets hitting the arch deamon as well as everything slayer spellbooks? pretty OP in there yargh. though I do think the arch deamons resist is a bit high for everyone who doesn't have a slayer book and mages should be able to compete for their relics as well.

So, tamed pets killed on aggro because they don't even belong there, everything slayer not function on arch deamon, and lower arch deamons resist (probably by ten points would work) so mages can compete for top spot. savy?

Even training in a spot you had to do it for like 3 months (EVERYDAY) to get a level 10 mage talisman, now it will take 1 year? maybe 2? to get level 10 talisman on a mage?

Well, this is the DEATH to all PVM MAGE's that wanted to seek talisman. No one else will do a talisman mage because it is impossible to level up playing regularly and those who have level 10 talisman are now god-like damagers.

ONE LESS CLASS VIABLE TO PLAY ;) love you all.

Mages don't need any buffs. They already have the advantage in almost every aspect of the game except top damage at arch demon without slayer books.

ALSO IMPORTANT:

I noticed that the gump button number to remove a relic from a talisman is the same as the general use button for using out of town gates, or rezzing, etc. Many players utilize macros to push this button and it could literally cost them millions if it happens while their talisman information window is open for viewing. Please change those button numbers to something else, that people don't normally use.
