Double Tap
Journeyman
Would like to know, also are their max stats the same as a regular nightmare and how much taming is required?
Yeah sorry I wasn't super specific, those are the standard spawning non-tamables that spawn all the time. There are two different pens. The one closest to the entrance is the one you want to search around. Now bromista I have seen those nightmares that are etheral but when I try and tame them it says "these cannot be tamed" whats up with that i have 112 taming

Sometimes they spawn near the pens and they are difficult to distinguish from the non-tamables. If you see four mares (a regular and three ethies) you know that one is tamable. I have seen this once or twice, in the pens directly as well as the closest room adjacent to the pens...which sometimes catches one of the non-tamables who will hug the wall trying to get back to it's home in the pens.
I have also seen the tamable spawn anywhere from the mummies to the solo rotting corpse at the end of the hallway past the skeletal dragon.
If you are suspicious just try to tame each one. If you are kiting the mares, the default non-tamables will always attempt migrate back to where they spawn in the pens. The tamable mares do not, they linger around wherever they have broken aggro. It's technically possible the tamable mare could get kited anywhere in the dungeon, honestly.
Good luck with it! For reference I tamed two that were five days apart. Then didn't see any for two whole weeks plus, and during this time well I guess I lived in ankh for months. I didn't let many other people tame them after the dungeon was opened as I kept a close eye on things.
