Weird question

Hey,

I played this game for like 10 years. In those years i've played the same game. I've never played in OSI, hell even not in RunUO, i was playing on sphere based servers all the time. Sometimes i read articles about UO and they are not talking about the game i played. I don't know if it's because of sphere or expansions and i wonder. Game i played was like this:
- There was only weapons with +3 to +15 stats,
- There was only armors with "ar" stat, there wasn't anything like fire resist or luck, only armour,
- There was full loot, not insurance or anything like that,
- You couldn't tame a dragon, you couldn't ressurect a tamed pet,
- You could steal all items not newbifield,

So i wonder, is this one of the first versions of the game, is it about sphere? So i want to know have anyone played something like this? How UO evolved?

Hello and welcome!

The server is relatively true to its UO: Renaissance roots but there are some (cool) modifications to keep players interested. The best way to find out if the server is for you, is to give it a go - No harm in running around for a few hours

Weapons have are the same here, they have descriptions like Silver/Force/Surpassingly Accurate. There is no life-leeching or anything of that sort. If I remember correctly, Force is +5 damage and Supassingly Accurate is +10 tactics.

- There was only armors with "ar" stat, there wasn't anything like fire resist or luck, only armour,

Armor here also has just simple stats but they did add craftable slayer armor. This works like slayer weapons but instead of adding damage to you, it reduced damage from monsters (if you have the correct slayer!) The armor is quite rare at the moment as it is difficult to make and people do not want to risk losing it.

There is no insurance.

- You couldn't tame a dragon, you couldn't ressurect a tamed pet,

You can tame dragons and resurrect them. They can also bond to you, so that they travel with you when you recall.

- You could steal all items not newbifield,

Newbified and blessed items cannot be stolen if they are in your main bag.
