Turn off Auto-Attack

Hello!
I am a new player on this shard. Currently farming gold with my provo/archer.

There's this one thing that really bugs me - my character auto attacks mobs and even players that attack me. It gets really annoying when I'm running away from a PK, finally hide and my char fires from a bow at the PK revealing me.

Is there any way to turn off that auto attack?

yup this annoys me also .. I even fire an arrow at the PK im hiding from when im in peace mode while hiding .. its fucking lame .

Just hit tab, turns off war mode and make sure your cursor isn't red.

This is intended functionality and is built into UO. As @Keltonator said, you need to "tab" out - ie.. turn war mode on and then off.

yes i have done this that is why it is a problem.

Hmm, I'm not sure then. Maybe try disarming when you hide so you don't shoot and reveal yourself .

thats is the work around i have been doing .. but still a pain in the ass to have to map 2 valuble keys for arm and disarm

Should just be 1 that is arm/disarm. Really valuable hotkey that everyone should have anyway IMO.

You will still attempt to wrestle if they come close.

It helps if your a certain distance away and than tab in/out war mode. You can than hide safely.

Double tab-out. Hit [Tab], [Tab], [Tab], [Tab] (4 times). That puts you into peace mode, war mode, peace mode, war mode. I've noticed tabbing out just once doesn't do anything. Doing it twice consecutively has done the trick for me.

Operator error. Hit table a couple of times and it will work fine.
