To disarm trap or not to disarm ??

Is there any benafit to disarming a trap (investing in the skill remove trap) rather then just popping it ??
just curios as ive opened well over 2000 paragon chests in my time , and ive never ,, never found a statuette ..

I think this a skill more intended for dungeon picking. I have it on my picker it allows you to pick without becoming revealing yourself. If all you do is picking chest in you house. No it's not worth it...

What ^^ he said. It is most useful for stealth dungeon lockpickers. They can pick and open all of the chests in a dungeon without leaving stealth/hiding.
