I keep trying to craft with special color bod cloth but it always comes out white and i lose the color cloth... what am i doing wrong

Make sure you take regular cloth out of your bags and select the correct resource you're using on the bottom left of the menu.

^^What he said. It happens when you have both colored and plain cloth in your bag. Since (unlike ingots) you do not select a color of resource, it just uses whatever cloth is in your bag and if it is two different colors, you may not get the color you want.
