Special fishing nets

Aside from decoration, what's the use of the standard light green nets? I know you can throw them in the water to bring up some mobs. Anything special about these mobs? On OSI servers these mobs can also drop MIBs, Treasure maps. How about here?

Mobs from nets can drop mibs. Deep Water Eles can drop barnacle encrusted ingots (for galleon crafting...60-100k per). Krakens can drop rope (swamp dragon barding needs 10 plus 2k ingots...15-20k per).

Plus they are good for meta training. Normally 1.5k per net or so give or take.
