For anyone else who may be interested in bidding, I assume that this auction is now closed and was sold to ScooterUo for 1.6 mil. For additional explanation, below is a copy of the IRC conversation between a magical man and myself. I'm posting this only to document the sale so that other bidders don't waste their time trying to buy a house that isn't on the market any longer. Congratulations on the purchase, Scooter.

<Saint_Dismas> That might be fine for you, but I see no reason to pay 200k more for this house unless he is legitimately bidding on the forums.

<Saint_Dismas> It's wise to be cautious when I don't know or see all the details. That's all I'm saying. And it's always good to have a record of what's going down on the forums. So, if he reinstates his bid on the forums, I'll bid 1.7. Otherwise, I wish both of you well.

<Saint_Dismas> I think I stated my terms pretty clearly, and I believe it's fair. I'll bid 1.7 if he actually bids 1.6 on the forums. If he doesn't bid on the forums, I don't know why I shouldn't believe that I still have the high bid at 1.5 mil. If he refuses to post on the forums for the public to see, that seems like bad etiquette and an unwise sale. But I can't force you or him to do anything.
