This thread will undoubtedly be filled with people who claim they aren't and give some hippie reasoning, but the bottom line is that without donors, these shards don't last long.

I understand this topic has been bought up to incite a reaction because of something you've heard or witnessed but think about it logically. If there are people out there giving money to support the shard they're more important than people unwilling to part with their hard earned monies because it's them that provide for the shard instead of leech (meant with no disrespect).

As others have pointed out, there is a certain reliance on donators but this does not automatically mean they are more important. For example, a non-donator could contribute to the community and help to bring in more players. A donator could be a complete dick and drive players away.

If you're bothered by someone receiving extra pixels because they can afford (or not afford.. who knows) to give money to the server then you have some issues you need to attend to.

Donors do what those who don't do, plus donate. Therefore, donors are more valuable.

so funny people get so defensive over it just asked a simple question, all of a sudden the people with telepathic abilities come out the woodwork and assume so much just from a simple question... I just posted this as a exercise to ask a question freely but as you can tell already... haha people get it so twisted so fast.... shame shame

and just to flat out say... who the fuck cares if donators get pixels as such, they earned it!! if I was running a shard I'd do what I would to reward those for being a strong muscle to keeping this shard alive.... as I had great conversations with about 10 people over the course of last night... pretty sure we just expect the shard to be fair for the most part.... nobody cares they get pixels... that's not why this post was brought up, if you really want me to spill the beans dont separate us from the others saying we have no say in anything on here because we don't donate!!! I personally have brought 6-7 friends recently not to mention 10 of us when we FIRST started here back in February... but that's not considered helping the shard in your players eyes huh?????... if people would stop being a vagina and speak there mind about shit maybe we would make even more progress rather than always assuming you know what the other is talking about or why the reason stuff gets brought up....

as far as the castle ending soon? boo hoo yeh a lot of peeps was butt hurt about it but shit happens as it was cleared in the other forums as well as shane on the raffle post.... im sure they will take every measure to prevent that from happening again! I have strong faith in this server as well as the players that dedicate their time to try and improve it as much as the donors are, we often forget we are all a part of a team here player/staff whatever pvp/pvmer it doesn't matter, we all have it in our heads to make this shard last as long as possible and ALL to enjoy a fair gameplay when we do play!

I donate maybe once every few months or so? I have a casual play stile maybe once or twice a week strictly pvp and guild events. I don't like farming for gold however I can be self sustained with my thief and bard easily. I still on about 500K and use 90% of that for regs, armor, and pots. And once in awhile Ill get donation items. I haven't had an instance where my donation status has gained me anything in regards to special treatment because my experience with the staff has been at a minimum besides the time Shane insta killed me for using my newbie tracker on him

I'd call it common sense. There's more donators on this server that don't want to farm, and would rather just make their money by donating. Whereas there's a lot more people who don't want to spend real money, but donate more time in farming gold .

Obviously there's donators who spend equal amounts of time farming like everyone else. Both parties are equal in the sense that without one the server doesn't function effectively. Donators get special items that are obviously valuable, which give recognition to the fact that they have donated. This is the reward they get for doing so, not the title of being more valuable.

If the donators were to quit, the staff wouldn't be getting paid as much and would probably quit - leading to a lack of interest in the players due to no updates etc.

If the non-donators quit the donators wouldn't have anyone to sell to, and the server would just appear dead due to lack of activity.

All I'm looking for is why you accused someone of being biased, when the person you accused is saying that both sides are of equal importance, whereas you are stating that only one side is of more importance.

You still have yet to elaborate as to why one side is more important than the other. I'll wait with bated breath for your reply, and hopefully you explaining why you think they are more important in a logical manner.
