I am a noob -yes, now that we have that out of the way lets get to the point.

1. What is the best way to create and manage my products? Whats efficient?
2. Why cant I make poison into a normal keg? what needs to be done fo rme to get poison kegs?
3. Whats the best method to make and sell kegs? Vendors?
4. How do I carry them, beetles?
5. How much stuff does it take to make something of a keg, and how much does each keg of each type roughly go for?
6. How can a alchy use explo pots in battle?

I apologize if these are redundant, but I just mastered the craft and would like to know. Thanks in advance for your help :)

The thing about selling alchy kegs is that the profit margin is very slim, so you need to sell them fast & steady at a good vendor. This means with a popular vendor house, or any vendor within an area players are actually using potions, so are more inclined to buy kegs there (outside dungeons, surrounding major cities, etc.).

The best thing to do is work up a restock routine -- say make a list of the ingredients you need for 10 of each keg, and do this once a week. You should have a total cost of supplies, and calculate your prices to be making a profit for your time -- though keep your rates competitive with others'.

To save the most money, get in the habit of crafting all your own kegs yourself. This means you'll need some carpentry in addition to alchemy (one of the keg ingredients also requires tinkering, but at 0.0 skill). You should have the ingredients to do this in massive stock in your bank/house. Also once you are finished, for aesthetics, use a furniture dye tub (either your own or one at a public vendor) to dye your kegs the colors for the corresponding potions.

Kegs are heavy, so you have to either carry 2-3 at a time and recall a lot or use a mounted beetle that will recall with you (or bonded pack horse). As for pricing, you have to weigh the cost of regs + empty bottles. Typical reg cost is 3/5, or 3gp for six of the regs and 5gp for the other two. So take your cost of potion, x100 cause it's a full keg, and you've got your minimum price. Now inflate for time spent/current market value. I believe explo's sell a lot higher than others -- maybe 6k, whereas most of the others are 2-4k. But I'm not sure. Shop around and see what's going.

As to your other questions, not sure about poising being added to a keg. Maybe you need poisoning skill to make poison kegs? And your other question, having alchemy and using explo pots gives you +10 damage (typical damage is 7-10, meaning it doubles explo pot damage for those more combat-oriented than crafting).

Steam is better than a Razor for crafting macros, so I hear, but Razor has a nice organizer feature you can use to manage your kegs as you make them. Drag/drop to relative location and organize by type are your friends, play around with them!

No matter what kegs you make you must start with placing at least one potion into the keg for a macro to fill the kegs automatically. When working up alchy I used three kegs at all times and started by crafting three of the desired pots and dropping one into each keg. The game will switch to the next keg automatically after one is full. I assume you trained this way, you can keep filling kegs this way if you'd like. Poison kegs work just like all other types, can't mix and match! Make sure your kegs are empty when you start and put one into each.

There had been a shortage of reliable keg vendors, which is usually the best way to sell kegs. You can do custom orders and offer your services on the forums also.

Beetles are preferred method of transportation.

Resource consumption varies based on difficulty/success %. DP kegs and greater explosion are the most costly by a pretty substantial margin. I'm sure if you look you can find a guide here on the forums. Price them accordingly, most kegs sell for 3750-5k each depending on success % and base cost of reagent used. DP and GE kegs are usually 7k-8k each, I think?

Using explore pots in battle is a different subject altogether, but the basics are as follows:

Hotkey 1 "drink" explo pot.

Hotkey 2 target last.

For added fun you can have a clear target queue hotkey or hit ESC to drop your target cursor after activating your pot timer so you can start to cast a spell while your pot is "cooking"

Reactivate your explo pot by hitting your "drink explo" hotkey and it will pick up right where it is at currently in the countdown. Target with a little more than 1 second left to make sure you hit your target/your pot doesn't blow up on you if held for too long. This must be done quickly and takes practice.

I suck at throwing pots, so you might want to look elsewhere for advice on throwing better. But the above covers the basics.

Hope that helps!
