so I finally got my bersker talisman.. do I need a relic now?

so I finally got the talisman after camping out the arch demon for a few days..

now what? how do I do double strikes and phase shifts and stuff?

do I have to get a 'double strike relic' now? I have no idea about relics except they look like they cost millions on vendors

what is this talisman doing for me without a relic?

5%~ extra damage per level. Focus on leveling it for now and do more arch demon motm and crystal turn in and eventually you will get a relic to add.

Just level the talisman. Your minimum hit chance is raised when it is equiped if you get armslore and you gain damage bonus for each level the talisman gains. Like others have said, if you want to increase your odds of getting a relic try to fight the arch demon as often as you can. Also turn in dungeon crystals from destard, hythloth, and 5th level of covetous. You will have a chance to get one in your bank box. Keep in mind that you may very well earn enough gold to buy one before you get one of your own. The more relic dropping systems you participate in though the better your odds.

I got armslore, trying to see if I notice more hitting, but it's hard to notice so far.

I've done 3 arch demon fights now... I haven't yelled at a video game in years, but I yelled and wanted to kick puppies at that thing til I sort of figured out how the fight goes.

I got a double strike relic on my 2nd fight... am I lucky or is this not a rare relic? I've seen relics on vendors for like 3 million gold

I kind of wish I sold it because doublestrike seems to be based on range and as an archer that is gonna get me killed more than help

Very lucky...congrats! I think relics will proc within 8 tiles. If you dont like it you can always re-tool your template to melee. I know some people love having archer metas. DS will tell you each hit how much time you have until it is ready. So you just need to go in closer when it is ready.

I want to stick with archery for now, because I think I'd need parry to be melee and I don't like shields.

But maybe the issue was I switched to heavy cross bows when I got doublestrike because some thread somewhere said it had to be within 5 tiles to proc doublestrike, so figured heavy cross bows have to be in close range, might as well use them and synergize.

Heavy crossbows are just not good I'm coming to realize.. using them feels like I miss for minutes at a time like what 5 misses in a row and im 7x gm? and double strike just never procs on a heavy xbow, after playing for maybe an hour I might have proc'd 5 times with a heavy x bow.

I switched back to bows and notice I proc double strike a healthy amount now, going in close only when double strike timer is up

so these are my new opinions,

talisman damage increase = worth it
armslore = seems like no difference in hit/miss ratio
doublestrike = pretty sweet
heavy xbows or regular xbows = just don't ever use these for anything, ever
bows = sweet

you are a lucky fucker. I've done arch demon probably well over 100x, turned in hundreds and hundreds of altar crystals, and killed at least 500 motm, and I've never gotten a double strike relic. in fact I only have 2/4 relics on my berserker which I started over a year ago, and one of them I bought.

lol sorry , but I just did my 6th or 7th maybe and got a phase shift relic, how much are those worth? i can't use it yet because I only have 1 relic slot

well if it makes you feel better I don't think I'm doing any more arch demon spawns...

eqms has showed up the last 3 or 4 I've done at the last second and zergs everyone to death

I think eqms must have more people online at any given time than the rest of the server put together

such a bunch of pussies

I don't understand why you can play a red and go in town, there's literally no consequences for them just outnumbering and killing whoever they want
