Smith BOD quetions

Ok folks,

Pardon my ignorance, but I've never really fooled around too much with BODs in my UO past. My question is, will a "helm" SBOD fill a Plate LBOD in the plate helm slot? What is the difference? Is there another reward structure for "helm" vs. "plate helm"?

Also, I continuously get garbage BODs such as weapons/clothing items. Are these even worth keeping? Should I just toss em?

Thanks in advance.

There are different rewards for completing a sbod vs a lbod. You can see the rewards here: http://tor.bplaced.net/bods-srw.htm

SBODs work like this:

1) Complete the sbod
2) add the sbod to the lbod

Once the Lbod contains all of the sbods it needs, then you can turn it in for the reward.

sbods must match in type, ingot type, exceptional/non-exceptional, and quantity to the lbod.

As far as what is worth keeping or not, I would recommend looking at the chart I supplied above and use your own judgement if you think the reward is worth the effort and materials.

Thanks halygon. Question though regarding "helm" vs. "plate helm". Does it make a difference in filling a LBOD? The reason I ask is that I have a 20x "helm" verite SBOD. Will this not fill a 20x plate verite LBOD?

It needs to say the same thing. I am not sure what a "helm" is -- are you sure it doesn't say "helmet" ?

Smith BODs seem to occasionally be for items that aren't part of any LBODs. Is that accurate? For example, the "helmet" SBOD doesn't actually get used for any LBOD. Or those small metal shields? Are they safe to turn in by themselves?

That's right, there are several sBODs that are not a part of an LBOD.

Shields and all head armor (except plate helm & Chain coif) are safe to fill and turn in as sBODs.
