After seeing what happened to Blood red.. Never again.. and considering this was already a bod reward on this server and people have gotten 1000's upon 1000's of this hue since the server started, before they removed it because people complained about how ugly it was..
I'd get rid of this shit quick, before it's rarity and value drops 1000% over night.
Edit: It was never a rare cloth to begin with since it was a bod reward on this server that people farmed shit loads of.. so I guess you don't have to worry about it's "rarity" dropping because it was never even really rare... but I would still get rid of it while you can still get any value out of that shit.

Lmao.. Bro.. It was a fucking bod reward on this server. People farmed shit loads of that garbage.. So much so that they complained and asked the Devs to remove it from the reward system because they found it so ugly, and they already had so much of it.. That shit was never rare.. The blood red cloth WAS rare.. since it only came from that one time DDoS event they had back in August.. Until now..
There has been 1000's upon 1000's of that hue received through bod rewards on this server. That shit was never rare. It was worthless back when it was on the bod system.. And the only people who got fucked and paid more for that shit, was people who never knew it was on the bod system before because they joined the server afterwards

actually, proof that there is only 4/5 original vesper sandals (which was a normal bod reward) proves how fast they took it out of the bod system. which i have a pair so dont cry to me about getting fucked over. I also have a blue orc mask from MOTM which they released on dono vendor too. cry me a river i dont care you spent mills on ur stupid suit and now its worth poop.

I didn't spend mils on mine. I spent 600k.. and then I turned a profit on the remaining hats I had when they doubled in value and went from 40k (which I bought mine at) to 100k... So basically it was a wash.
and there is more than 4/5 original vesper sandals .. Lot's of people who played back then no longer play or are inactive.. Not to mention the fact that there is only a 10-20% chance to get sandals from Tier 4 and Tier 5 Bods.. Meaning that much more often than not, you will be getting Cloth.. and the times you do get sandals, there is no guarantee which color sandals you will get.
It's like taking TB Yellow off.. you think anyone who is here now, and knows how common and shitty TB Yellow is.. Would ever pay more for that shit down the road, just because they took it off the reward system? I don't think so.
There is shit loads of vesper hue out there.. It was farmed to death on this server.. and people had it removed because of how ugly that shit is.. Just because people sit on that stack of vesper and sell a bundle once every month or so.. doesn't make it rare. That shit was a bod reward.. and is common as fuck.

Vesper is pretty rare these days though, regardless of how much people farmed it back in the day. You don't see it come up very often. I personally don't think you will get anywhere near 750k per yard, but there IS a market for it, and you CAN make some serious money! Good luck!

i currently rock a vesper sash and half apron. i got my vesper at 350k a yard like a little over a month ago. i wouldn't mind getting more vesper i will offer you 400k a yard. and as far as what drakes saying about the value of cloths and shit going 1000% down. that could literally happen with any item on this shard including houses. what if they opened T2A and like everyone placed a castle. castles wouldn't be worth jack shit. any items can drop in value depending on how common it is. people take chances on things and sometimes some items value crash.. this games like a fucking stock market!

I totally agree. I've been here for what... 2 months, and when I started putting some attention into BOD rewards, it seemed clear vesper was a removed color from early days BOD. 750 a yard is insanely high. PW goes for what... 450-500? It's still accessible, you might say, but you have to spend some decent amount to buy he cloth, cut it, and lose half. I don't think any color could ever be more expensive than that honestly.
Now, people assumed removed hues would never come back. Sorry, it's speculation, you lost your gamble, move on. When the staff posted they would add new colors, it was implicit they might remove some, or bring some older ones, or not. That they could do anything. Some were hoping for a return of gold : it's a proof it crossed people's mind they might take some old hues back in.
I saw vesper go for 200k a yard, same as gold, which seems to be the normal price for removed color. Yes, people had huge stock of them (well, I guess) but then... people leave, hold onto their belongings, lose for whatever reason. New players come. It's a dynamic world and if you think you have a crystal clear vision of what is happening, well... too bad for you. Things change.
When speculating, just assume the best and the worst, prepare for both, split your ressources, so maybe you won't triple your gains, but you won't either lose everything (or almost).
I personnaly LOVE the fact that we don't know what's gonna happen with anything. The surprises comes with the stress. UO is a game all about stress to gain/lose everything you half (or, again, almost).
