The hammer gives +15 to your blacksmithing skill. It can be used in conjunction with a runic hammer to farm slayer weps or to simply ensure you will always make Exceptional Armor and Weps. That way you don't waste runic hammer charges on normal quality weps/armor. It also increases your chances of making a slayer wep due to the increase of 15 skill points to blacksmithing, and makes filling bods much easier and more efficient (less ingots wasted on failed crafting attempts or normal quality crafted pieces).. They have sold in the past for over 300k.
