Sallos setup first timer

Hoping for some help from the community about setting up Sallos. I'm back after 2 years away from UOF and trying to get back in the swing of things.

I just got everything set up and Sallos is running for me now. It is SIMPLY AMAZING how much cleaner and smoother it is from the classic client!!!!! I've read the guide on the UOF wiki and have basic stuff set with sounds resolution game windows size etc. you can see SO MUCH MORE with the game window enlarged! No black border inside the game window u can see it all!

On to hotkeys. I'm trying to figure out some cohesive setup and any advice appreciated. On to the questions!

1. I assume shift modifiers should be avoided since shift is a main basic function key for Sallos? F1-F12 seem like good options. How about ctrl or alt modifiers?

2. Any way to bind functions or actions to mouse buttons? I can remap mouse keys to any key combo obviously but I'm curious if it's possible to edit the config file to straight up recognize mb4 mb5 etc......?

3. Macros.....I get the basic idea of how to set them up but its all very new to me. I'm consider myself an extremely well versed razor and UoSteam macro creator and user so I'm sure I can learn the transition but are there any "tricks" or advice for making cohesive macros (aka multifunction hotkeys in Sallos) ?

4. Other than complex skill gain crafting and vendor related macros will I eventually be able to mimic what I can accomplish in razor and UoSteam with Sallos? I need to be able to effectively use my Pvm Mage/Provo/tamer, straight up 7gm Mage, Melee dexter, pot throwers, thief, etc.....

5. Any other helpful Sallos advice u want to throw my way would be so much appreciated. In fact, any UOF advice would be great. Been gone so long I'm starting again with zero gold or items since all my houses and stuff in them decayed and I was a dumbass and had 90% of my stuff in my houses and not my banks. I have a medium amount of UO experience played for about 6 months or so in 2013 but not for 10+years prior to that so ANY helpful advice would be so appreciated.

EDIT: Use UoSteam or Sallos for PvM? I assume Sallos since it's cleaner , faster, better visibility, and there's always the chance of PvP. I plan on following Gluts recommendation made here on the forums for razor/UoSteam for skill gain macro and crafters/ house squatters and Sallos for anything else. Good idea or no?

EDIT2 . Suggestion on hotkeys for push to talk that won't interfere with anything else? Having problems finding a good one......

Skip that figured it out.

However...how do i target an item or a runebook in Sallos? For example...A recall macro that targets a specific runebook? Ive got it all set with "all follow me - cast recall - wait for target" and then....cant find any way to target the runebook.....

Search for the Sallos guide in the guides section, you will see a list of Sallos-specific commands you can use

One of them .recall "runename'"
You could use that and not have to target any book.

TY That was one of the things I finally got to work...somehow. Im not sure exactly what syntax is necessary to get it to work next time, but its working now

The syntax in the guide is different than what I found in another Sallos wiki/informational post with regards to client commands, but...ya i finally got it working

I didn't have the chance to read all your questions yet, but as for Sallos in pvm, you can use it, but beware, there are some mobs you can't see in some areas on Sallos.

It can get you killed if you are not aware (I don't have a list myself...)

I just use steam for anything myself except when I go out to PvP
