does it technically need the spells to get the slayer bonus as long as a full one is in your backpack? thought they just need to be equipped

well, honestly at a champ with a meta mage you can easily burn through all those charges (or almost all of them). Would you pay 100k to do 1 or max 2 champ and probably don't get shit anyways?
Dunno, I think these are gonna be worth 10-20k max in a few days

Considering the crafting costs, if a book typically sells for 20k and under, making them would be cost inefficient. You can't smelt them for crafting materials like smithing and at 88 gold roughly per crafting attempt, you can make a crapload without a slayer and just come out at a deficit. What I've seen so far is around 30-75gp per charge on super slayers and motm, 25-50g per charge on useful (meta training) books, and 10-20g per charge on the low end stuff.

What resources do you need to craft these more than a normal spellbook? (other than 120 inscription)

Because full spellbooks sell for like 5k, empty ones are dirt cheap

Anyways, IF they really cost 20k to craft they will just be useless, i mean, you easily burn trough 500 charges at a champ, maybe even more. I can see people spending 10-20k to have a chance at a high score, but 100k?
High score also doesn't guarantee shit btw, i got top score twice at neira, twice at riktor and once at semidar in the last 3 days and got a 120 BS scroll for all my trouble (no drops at all at the other champs)

Well this is based on market cost-value. Making books for champs are most likely going to not be worth it, when you can all guard or slap on a slayer wep on a naked zerker and top the charts. These books are going to be key for talisman training and events where being the top score matters more than your average champ spawn.

Dunno, you might be right....what does it take to craft these? Also, in a week long event you're probably gonna burn through 20-30 of these, so I still don't know if it's worth it.

Maybe talisman training is the best use for these....

yeah they will get burned through for sure, and the prices will eventually even out to a more reasonable level (25-50k, maybe less).. but if you've ever seen a maxed meta mage with the correct slayer in boss fights they kinda wreck house

Is there a reason they have charges? If it's to replicate a weapons durability, then they should be rechargeable?
