I have an XBoxer in my house. He plays COD (Call of Duty) online.
Sometimes when he plays he gets hacked and booted off line. Which also in return, boots me offline. And it usually will last take a few minutes to get back online. A few minutes in a dungeon when booted is an eternity!

And suggestions as to stop these Xbox players from doing that to our connection?.......

Sounds like your getting DNS'ed check with Service provider and make sure you are not on static IP.

i had this same problem that lasted for 6 months. it only happened when the xbox was on. my isp provider came out and determined that my modem and router needed upgraded. changed out both of them and never had a problem again. i remember getting kicked or the internet going out multiple times per day
