What happens if I had an auction going and someone bid but will not pay?
Wasn't there a marketplace reputation score or something or am I high?

I'd like to see that make a comeback. It was removed when the forum version was updated.
...This has been done in the past in other games. Player vendors/auctions will become useless as all items will just be posted on the auction system for people to search through and bid. It also ruins the chance at getting that great deal by running across a vendor that has marked down an item to move it quickly. In game auction system......... I'm sure Adam is brilliant enough to make this happen?
They have one. It's called Serpent's Hold hosted by @BudcookieIn game auction system......... I'm sure Adam is brilliant enough to make this happen?

I don't think this makes sense in UO unless it is just a way to assist player-ran auction houses and not a universal auction system.
lol....The auction system in WoW is awesome.
A similar system implemented here could also be awesome.
My point is just that any selling systems that take player interactivity out of the equation makes for a poor UO mechanic. These type of auction systems tend to normalize prices everywhere, reduce the value of premium housing locations, and really impact the economy as a whole.Yeah I see your point but the forms and irc are also taking away from those very things you mentioned. The problems with the forms is there is no integrity. Maybe an in game auction system that caps the # of items each account can sell? That way the need for venders and auctions houses will still exist.
As for the player run auction I'm not that familiar with their systems but I would assume they run an hour or two at the most? Are players using these to sell their high end items?
