Hi new to the game, I made a pure melee but get one shot to the dragon at the end of covetous. Is it possible to beat him with a melee?

yea i can melee dragons with my sword/shield build and some heavy armor the biggest issue is if it poisons you you either need to use a cure pot magery or run away til u cure
