Poisoning

I have 92.1 skill points in poisoning.

What's the calc to apply deadly poison to a weapon?

It seems to be impossible to do it...spent 1 keg of DP and no success.

I believe it takes 92 skill to be able to apply at all. You really need to be GM poisoning to apply every time or around 95-97 to apply with some certainty. As far as the calculation goes, the staff does not give that out in most cases.

Don't use DP, it'll cost you fortune and me felt like it was much worse for gains than plain old GP when I GMed poison last time. Also, if you brew your own poisons, do it in Brit craft area.

Won't use DP to GM poisoning skill, just tried to apply the poison to use some weapons.
I didn't know about that craft area.

I GM'd it in my house beside a secure container with tons of nightshade. Made a GP, poisoned a weapon, rinse, repeat. I only macro'd it for three days straight lol.

Even though the gains are slower. this is how i did it aswell! sure beats coming back to your PC as a ghost! ^_^

Its already horribly expensive to raise, why didnt you just do it at a bank with a restock and cure/heal macro?? crazy mo fos, or just too rich to care ha

That's why I got two monitors. It wasn't that bad. I watched "the good wife" on one monitor and trained poisoning on another monitor. 1.5 days and 4 seasons of drama and it's all done. Didn't die once.

Because all of my stock is in the house and it was complete safety, where at the bank, someone could screw with me and I lose hours of potential skill gain because I am afk.

Once I got it to 70 I got really impatient and just bought a ton of skill scrolls instead.

It seems exorbinant cuz they run 20-30k apiece, but the truth that all that time I'm grinding away with the poisoning macro I could be out farming earning the gold for the skill scrolls.

For the love of god don't waste DP on training up poisoning. Use GP. It'll take more time but save you lots in nightshade to even make the kegs. Assuming you're making your own kegs. And assuming you're not super loaded and unconcerned with the gold it'll take. If those assumptions are incorrect, then spend away my friend.
