Permit trading trapped chests

Currently, you can detect a trapped chest by trying to hand it off to your friend, it will say that you cannot trade a trapped item. Therefore, most people never get blown up. Please enable the trading of trapped chests.

On old UO, the only way to detect whether a chest was trapped was to use Detect Hidden on it. This is good, because it means you're either skilled in DH or you're in your house where DH works. Anyone greedy enough to open the chest on the field gets blown up, as they should.

Trading trapped items could be abused to no end on new players. That's the only people this change really hurts. Experienced players will just use telekinesis and avoid it anyways.

New players are the only people this change hurts? Not at all, this will hurt PvPers and PKs the most who are just too greedy and curious.

New players are just as likely to pickup/open a box on the ground, and are far less likely to use the trade window screen to detect a trap.

How is this different from any other situation new players need to learn? Examples:

Trapping pets
Statue trade scams
Ethy trade scams
Gate murderers
Getting robbed at crafting area
Being pkd by a blue
Etc etc.

Using the excuse that it can be exploited on new players doesn't really hold ground with all these other mechanics that can be used for scamming or griefing new players.

I haven't tried this so i don't know if it works, but have you tried trading the box to someone after putting something else in the trade window first?

It says: "For tinkers trying to sell trapped chests directly to other players: Trapped chests cannot be placed in a trade window. However, if you place another object in the trade window first, for example the key to said trapped chest, you can place a trapped chest in the trade window. Let this be a warning to buyers as well. If someone offers you something for sale and places a chest or box not as the first item in the trade window, do not try to open the chest or box, it may be trapped."

But maybe this doesn't apply to this shard.
