Multi Faceted Charged Crystal?

I found a "multi faceted charged crystal" in the Wrong dungeon tonight. Its green and it says that it is going to decay in 24 hours. I have no clue what this item is, so can anybody help me out and tell me what it is, what it does, what its worth? Any help would be much appreciated

i believe all mobs carry them in wrong dungeon.
You need them to charge the altar in the arch-deamon room, 500 are needed to summon the arch-deamon i gues.
