Lumberjacking question

Does lumberjacking go up while fighting with swords? If so it has to be an axe correct? Also, if you macro it fighting another person in town are the gains lowered?

Actually it's:

Yes,Yes, and no. Gains are only lowered Odin a house. But gains are high if in a dungeon. Everywhere else - like in towns - gains are at normal rates.
