Loot items fall from sky.

I don't know how else to explain it. Back in the olden days as you looted a corpse you would see the items drop from the sky. Has that been taken out, is there anyway to turn it back on?

Well, what do YOU consider "olden days"?

I have never seen items fall from the sky, but gold does appear on the ground when a champion is killed.

I played from 1996 - 1999. When looting corpses each item taken would be seen cascading down on top of the corpse. Others around could see what was being looted.

Yeah I remember that happening. Glad it's gone that shit was annoying as hell.

Also gone: being able to move a bag while you are purchasing items from an NPC vendor and having all of the items purchased go straight into the container being dragged. Organizer agents are better than I remember them being so it's easy enough to sort your shit but I remember it being so simple to just drag and watch everything drop in that container.

Of course it really helped to have a long character name or else you wouldn't have time to do it ;)

Yeah I remember this happening all the time. It would happen to other people looting too so it was cool to see what they were taking lol

I was just curious if it were toggle-able, which I am guessing it is not. Probably taken out for the reason someone would get ganked for being seen looting a high priced item.

I really have no clue what you guys are talking about and I started at the tail end of '97 a couple months after UO official launch.

I started 6 months after the launch and remember it happenening. I think the "raining" part is not saying it correctly enough. You would be wandering by and notice stuff (an item at a time) scrolling down the screen to another player, and wondering how the heck he was pulling stuff outta the sky.

OH! you mean that while someone is looting a corpse, you would visually see the item fall into the player who was looting. Yeah I remember that.

"Raining" to me implied that items were just falling onto the ground like when you kill a mob in Diablo and the items just fall all over the place.

YEah i think hes talking about a client glitch back in the old days in like t2a, sometimes as you looted a corpse you could see the items fly off your screen as others looted too
