Looking for someone familiar with crafting trades

If someone could please help explain to me the crafting on this shard.

ive only ever had scribe and alchy as trade skills but i would like to delve into blacksmith, tailoring, carp, tink, ect ect :)

Im curious about things like does 120 tailoring create more AR for leather armor?

Does 120 fetching create better bows or just better chance to make a bow?

What is the best 120 crafting skill?

What benefit does 120 carpentry have?

I have a few more questions if someone could PM me and we could talk about it thanks.

wont get more AR from 120 tailor, just increases the chance to get exceptional

same for 120 carp when crafting stoneware etc and BS for armor/weps

So having 120 in a crafting skill just increases chances of getting exceptional items?

What about crafting slayer items?

What would you recommend the best 120 skill is?

I use bows on my Provo and leather armor on my mages so should i 120 tailoring? Or will i barely fail at GM making reg leather armor to begin with?

And do bone helms give more AR here then leather hats? I know on previous shards ive played the bone orc style helms were more AR then leather, and were considered leather so you could med through them, but ive found they cannot be dyed with leather dye tubs?

Also with music+carp at the crafter guild can you craft slayer instruments?

As it's been stated, just better chance of exceptional, so you use a lot fewer resources filling BODs

Fletching only goes to GM.
What is the best 120 crafting skill?
BS and tailor are my favorite two

You have to be 120 to use frostwood and to craft the new containers, and you have to be 120 lumber to gather frost.

Feel free to PM any other questions.

Hey thanks allot for the advice sounds like the only thing i would really have any need to hit 120 on is tailoring :) thanks

If you just want to make leather armor, you can make full exceptional suits at GM without fail iirc. Orc and bone helms are NOT treated as leather here. They are not medable or dyable.

Yes, increasing skill only increases exceptional chance. There are very few reasons to take ANY crafting skill past gm. BODs and legendary hammers are the two major reasons.

The "best" legendary skill would actually be three. Carpentry, mining, and smithy, because of the legendary hammer. The items created by a legendary hammer are way more valuable than anything created by a gm crafter. Taking tailoring to 120 is also a good idea if you collect BODs on the regular.

Slayer weapons can be created ONLY at the brit crafting area (west smith shop.) Instrument CANNOT be made with slayer properties, but gm exceptional instruments do give a 10% boost. You only need 40 or 45 music with a GM carpenter to get the boost.

If I'm not mistaking, I also believe the higher over 100 you have the better chance of getting the slayer bonus when crafting
