Legal yes. But staff will kill dungeon tames if they see them. It is also illegal to tame a group like that afk.

I though I remember reading a different thread, maybe it was in the guides, about gating animals for tames was illegal now. However, it might have been afk taming in dungeons illegal, I don't remember. Figured I'd check before I went taming those.

So so many people have raised their taming this way. It would be pretty shitty for newer players to put an end to it now.

Then again just a few months ago staff did fuck up some of the popular macro spots that hundreds of players had been using since the beginning.

It's whatevs.

Yes, it's not allowed. Staff made multiple global posts in its regards. Relocating one mob to another purely for the intent of afk macroing shit is a no-no now. Which is good.

This is not allowed, this is no different than trapping a pet in the house. Also people use this to afk tame which is also not allowed. It is unfair to those who spend hours upon hours legit trying to work on their taming skill as well. Cheating is a sure fine way to chill in jail for a few days.

Well, at least it's official. Too bad a lot of people got away with it, but all staff can do is react when attention is called to a certain exploit. I guess it's no different than any other exploit.

This has been posted officially multiple times and we catch players daily with this so they don't always get away.

Guess I missed the memos. I've been seeing tames in dungeons just about everywhere, had no idea. I even gave some advice to new tamers along these lines because I've been seeing it done so much :(

Pretty much daily sightings tbh.

Just report them :) we will kill the animals and jail them for day or 2 with a warning

I think jail time is harsh for someone that may not know it's illegal. Christ I'm a tamer whore and I didn't even know lol.

Ppl used to do that on shame mage roof all the time big style. They even got pissed and called in pks if u told them that was illegal.

I think there is a fine line between afk taming and legitimately taming something that a friend ports into a dungeon for the bonus. The former should be frowned upon and I am glad you think that is the case. The latter is just a creative way to get a bonus that you implemented. From the outside looking in, there is nothing inherently illegal in using those mechanics to achieve said purpose up until you begin to afk macro it ala mining; unless of course you are looking to stimulate the taming scroll market (reading between the lines).
