I don't know about the rest of my fellow blacksmiths, but I still have a few of those LBODs that were for colored weapons. At this stage they're either a oddity to be traded for giggles or rare collections or thrown to the ground/rubbish bin for deletion. I've got the following fairly straight forward suggestion.
A Buy Back/Trade-in for usable LBODs. The premise is simple and is only to those LBODs that were colored weap and not completable.
The parameters:
1. 2 weapon LBOD = Ringmail LBOD
2. 5 Weapon LBOD = Chainmail LBOD
3. 6 Weapon LBOD = Platemail LBOD
Match color to Color
Match exceptional to exceptional
Match count to count
Place a special Smith NPC that will accept the colored weapon LBODs and offer the appropriate variant back
Example: Exceptional Bronze 2 piece 10x Weapon LBOD would = LBOD Bronze x10 Ringmail
