Is this considered an exploit?

Hey all I haven't been here long, but I was in a dungeon today and I was casting Energy Vortex and it was attacking some monsters, then a player comes in and casts invisibility on the monster and heals the energy vortex, then it goes to attack him and I get the message he's attacking me. He came back after the EV was gone and killed me, and I wasn't allowed to report him as a murderer, so he got away with killing me without penalty. Is that allowed? It's fine if it is I'm just curious if I should be more careful with my EVs. Thanks.

yes this is game mechanics. EV`s can attack all greys reds and thus make you an aggressor to that individual which allows them to `fight back`without penalty.
