I've always taken walks through this place just to see what I can get into but this time I can't hide and can't cast spell? Why? Then the mobs box me in and I can't even run.

Hiding wasn't never allowed there. That place was used a lot from POWER luring Mephits... old good memories when tried incursion with tons of pots of stamina for trying stealing one ps... never got succes XD
