I need to pick a boat

So with so much of this land water and me always looking for other new things I figure it's time to explore the oceans. I know it's a dangerous place out there so need some advice on what's the best boat to get? I hear galleons may not be the best so I came here to ask you the sailors and pirates of the seas what seams to be to ideal boat?

What is it you want to do? MIBs? PvP? In general terms I've always been good with just simply a large boat but I've also had upgrades on it. I know a few people who prefer, when wanting to have a galleon, the Tokuno galleon because of its speed.

Thanks Jax. I'm looking to be able to be more combat ready as you can fish off any boat correct? I just want to be able to defend myself from the average pirate not really trying to compete agenst the big dogs.

Some cannons for defences and I am open for suggestions on other upgrades. I know if I get sunk I loose them but I want some surviving capabilities. The tukuno is faster than the others? See I assumed all where the same speed.
