How to post a picture here on forums?

Trying to remember how to post a picture here on forums...
I went to imgur.com and tried every link they give me.
I put said link in the lil URL box that pops up when you click
the photo looking button on the top bar that allows you to change the
color and position of your words... I don't know what I'm doing wrong someone
please help me, lol...

Imgur provides appropriate text-based formating for forums. Just copy and paste the line to the right of the picture that says [.img]link[./img] minus the periods.
this type of code works on most forums, along with [.URL=(link)]content[/URL], [.quote=(name)]
Just repeat the command(I don't know code lingo), but include a back slash, "/" to end the command. So a quote with a name attached would be like [.quote=Halygon] I love you, easy [./quote]
Which would look like this:

I love you, easy.

Where a link would look like:
[.Url=(link)]sweet shop bro[./url]
sweet shop bro
