How to enter asylum?

1. Basically ZERO reds so you've got a leg-up
2. You need keys to enter level 1 so farming some of the spawn near the entrance is a must.
3. There are many thieves so you have to always check your inventory. They usually go after your keys.

Well, the dungeon is "too hard" for both reds and blues alike, it would appear.
What I don't understand is why people even bother stealing keys for any reason other than to grief. Which is a big part of thieving, I get it. But stealing things that are profitable makes good sense to me, and stealing keys ain't that.

I don't go past the first few levels. I heard about people's pets being trapped. I need to ball my pets

I'm currently selling them to a few people off vendor for 5-10k per lvl 2 keys, and 15-25k for lvl 3 keys. I haven't ventured farther because just one of the 2 sides of level 2 yields about 17k, and the farther you go the harder it is to recoop from death.
I'm gonna start selling the keys on a vendor soon, I just gotta set one up.

Hedgemaze in the center. Inside the building with steps leading down, go down the steps and follow the hallway until you see a black entrance. Walk in. (can't use mounts)
