How many players (not accounts) are on the server now?

How does that compare to the number of players on
  • the busiest OSI shards today, and
  • the average OSI shard during UO:R?

Not sure if we'll ever get the answer for OSI ( who knows, right? ) but I'm still interested in knowing, if anyone knows. :)

When I got the game in 99 there were a few times that I tried to logon to Atlantic (busiest server) and the server was full. Max capacity was 5000

That's not surprising. I was on Chesapeake during those years and I remember looking for days for a place fit a simple 7x7 house.

The UO numbers stop in 2007, but the trajectory seems pretty clear.

So let's say 200k average in its best years. That's divided into how many servers?

I'm quite certain it's significantly more than UOF.

OSI had a lot more than we do now for sure.
5000 at least daily per server.

We get probably 400-800 uniques logging in per day i'd say.

It's the busiest it's ever been as i'm sure you've all noticed.

I have noticed it personally as I have taken the last few weeks off work from a recent car accident, I would like to add with all the new players and activity could we possibly start seeing some more events like CTFs, FFA, just saw there is a double champ currently active just was hoping we could get a little more PVP type events as a good percent of the population are here mainly for the PVP.

Just my two cents, keep up the good work guys and thanks for all the hardwork :)
