How do we access the game?

Can anyone clearly describe the steps to get into the game? Specifically, once the "client" is "downloaded" what do you do? The instal video has instructions like "extract RAR file" and "check .net 4.0" and "launch through UO file" But for someone unfamiliar with all this jargon do we have clear instructions on step by step procedure to get access to this game?

all you need to do once you install the game is put in the login and port

Select your password and login and it will auto make it

SERVER LOGIN: login.uoforever.com
SERVER PORT: ****

This is an example of what's unclear. You say "put in the login and port SERVER LOGIN: login.uoforever.com
SERVER PORT: ****." I wonder how do you "put in login." Does this mean step 1: open a web browser and go to login.uoforever.com
I do not find such a place if so. It seems to bring me to the same place as how I got to this forum. At the bottom of the screen is
Join Us

  • LOGIN: login.uoforever.com
  • PORT: ****
But there is nothing to click. I can look at this taunting cryptic message , but what to do next is exactly the step I need described.
Man, life is difficult when you're a moron like me.

Thanks thestand for helping me make the breakthrough of understanding Razor. But when I open razor and put "login.uoforever.com" in the Server box and **** in the port box all I get is a message that says: fatal: Failed to open 'map0LegacyMUL.uop' from HD using a maximum installer. Either this file is not readable, your system needs to be rebooted, or the file does not exist and you either need to reinstall or switch to a non-maximum install.

As you might guess, this message has no meaning to me.

Yes. This is the video. It uses lots of quickly stated directions like "extract the RAR file" and many other unexplained directions but to those of us who do not know what that means or how to do that it is of little use.


Anyone have an idea of why my razor won't take UO Forever?

Did you do everything in the video? So you have Ultima Online installed and you have Razor installed?

Go to your uo folder and run uo.exe, you might not be fully patched. When you open the razor launcher make sure you have the client options set to the right folder.

If that does not work you might have to delete everything and reinstall??

I got this info by putting "fatal: Failed to open 'map0LegacyMUL.uop" into google ;)

I'm in!

I wasn't fully patched. I just had use my internet at a place with better connection while patching.

Thanks a lot for helping me solve that problem.


Now I just have to get used to seeing out of only one eye--- but if this eye patch lets me play Ultima Online... then I'll wear it!
