When a PC is killed and then resurrected he is defenseless. I suggest that there be a 5 or ten minute period after one is resurrected that nothing can initiate attack or harm to these newly brought back PCs. It is incredibly frustrating to be rezzed and then killed again immediately afterwards

UO is a "hardcore" sandbox MMO. Whether aware of it or not a lot of people log in with the goal to essentially have fun at others expense.

im assuming this is mostly a rant about res-killing. While it sucks, you kinda perpetuate and enable it by accepting the resurrection gump. Every UO player has seen or experienced the scenario where theres 20 bodies laying under an Ankh or Healer with a red guy murdering same dude over and over. Blue is losing his mind instead of just exiting the scenario

I could see that it could be abused, but there's a way to abuse nearly everything in UO. Nothing like crawling our ghost out of a dungeon to the healer only to have to wait around for your mana to tick back to 11. All I am going to have on me at that point is my newbie dagger, newbie scissors, my robe, and my rune book.

my angle is this.. Say you get killed somewhere and then get rezzed. Well at this point you are virtually useless and defenseless so yyour chances for getting your stuff back are virtually nil. With my idea you could salvage some of your stuff at least and then go home

And also stay for the boss drop and recall out invulnerable to players.

I definitely see how 10 minutes of invulnerability would be abused but what harm would rezzing with 11 points of mana really do?

Then make it to where you cannot loot/or receive loot for 15 - 20 seconds after rezzing. Then you have a choice to make, leave my crap and escape; or wait for what would have been the mana ticks to loot.

How about this? After you are Rezzed you are untouchable unless you try to take something that is not on your corpse or you attack something

Still not a good idea. Hell, my idea isn't all that good either. It's been like this for 20 something years, doubt it's going to change now.

All you are doing is rephrasing Item Insurance.

Yeah, it seems like there are already ways around the problem like having another character gate or stay hidden nearby to rez you, buying the ring of forgiveness, not using ankhs if there's danger nearby and not accepting a rez if rez killing seems likely.

I like the idea of 11 mana so you can rez and zip away from danger.cut your losses and restock. Pain having a bunch of reds lingering about an ank only to repeatedly rez kill you as you wait for that mana :p
