Fel Moonstones

most should remember these, colors small stones that opened a gate anywhere in fel/trammel back then it was ment to get out of fel or leave tram fast. i think this would be just fun random locations, spawns, who knows, this could also help with jumping around to find RDAs

i always thought they were "rare" since they were mob drops. used to go hunt lizard men for them in the swamps....good ol days

They actually DID become rare at some point, Years after they stopped spawning (when they introduced tram/fel switching at moongates) they were worth a lot on OSI

i think what was happening, since the housing was being exploited, you could use a moonstone to get into locked houses, if im not mistaken this is why they were taken out.... but i think it waould be something cool/fun for everyone if they did work or were brought back as maybe a easter egg hehe

Actually they were taken out because they were a pain in the ass.

First you had to find a mob with them, which wasn't super common. Then when you actually used it, it took like 30 seconds to create the moongate, and the spot on the other facet couldn't be blocked or you had to start the whole process over again (another 30 seconds).

The only cool thing was that you could mark a rune at what where your house was on the other facet, recall in on your current facet, use the moonstone and then be at your house (after 30 seconds of waiting on the stupid moonstone).

People tried to horde the moonstones, but they were required anytime you wanted to go to the other facet, you actually had to use them.

On top of everything else, moonstones were facet-specific, this means that not only do you have to collect fellucia moonstones, but you also had to have a stock of trammel moonstones.

the memories. My GF couldnt wait for trammel once it was announced as coming. The day it hit, Fel went into a beautiful desolation and she was practically singing about how gorgeous trammel was... so i followed her. I endured tio horrors of trammel awhile, if someone called you a noob you couldnt kill them on the spot (shudders). But Fel kept calling me back. One day I just opened a gate, walked back through to Fel and never went back.
