Cultist paint comes from mobs in Khaldun.

Tribal paint comes from cooking the tribal berries of those savage guys that like riding ridgebacks and stuff.

Pretty sure they have the same function though (screw w ppls' targeting).

Correct, lost when you die. Also, you can't put on an orc mask while body painted.

I forgot, tribal paint also makes you "friendly" to savages like the orc mask works for orcs, and any body paint will prevent Barracoon from turning you into a ratman.
