colored ore mining question

on uo forever is it possible over mine a certain spot changing the ore output?

meaning i was mining verite ore spot, now it only produces iron

i know on OSI, that it was possible to over mine a spot.

i have used MANY colored ore vendor rune books, it seems about 50-80% no longer produce that colored ore that the person marked the spot for.

More than likely the spot was lazily done off a tile or two. Additionally if you target the left tile of the one you're standing on it may produce something different than the north tile. I don't believe what you described can happen here, you're probably just targetting a different area.

they can change what ore spawns where, but you can not over mine an ore on this server, it is not dynamic. that said if your using a public rune book, check 1-2 tiles in all directions as you dont know where they were mining when it was made.

I believe a Gargoyle's Pickaxe and/or Prospector's Tool can be used to potentially advance an ore vein's level by up to two types (e.g., Agapite to Valorite).
