Is this still a high end rare? i know right before i took a break from the game, it wasnt spawning anymore... whats the story on it now and whats the going price of it?

Yes, only a handful around. 2.5m is the going rate.

Last couple I believe sold for 2m or less, the value dropped after motm spellbooks started dropping

I disagree, the only motm book close to this is ratmen and it's 500k or more.
