Level 4 meta isn't using skill just magic

It does still impact the casting level of magic poison.
This situation kinda blows. The skill doesn't retrain because the meta doesn't poison on contact at mid to high level. But you can't just lock it so it doesn't decrease upon death. So it just gets lower and lower and lower unless fed some pricey poisoning SS. Adam said he likes that there is a market for skill scrolls because of meta pets, so basically this is never going to change. If it hasn't by now it likely never will.
And it does actually kind of matter. Having poisoning at or over 100 is requirement to be able to lethal. Lethal is the only way to poison many of the big bad spawn. Not to mention lethal poison resists multiple cures from casting spawn which is also a nice bonus.
In the grand scheme, damage relics more than compensate for this. But it sure is annoying as hell to see that skill go down the drain over time. Doubly annoying for someone with no relics.
