Anyone know what these are worth and which should be used for the talisman quest?

Ryking, I mean no offense but you're wasting your time. Pking is not going to be eliminated on a Felucca shard because that is what defines a Felucca shard and that's what UOF was deliberately created to be.
All you're doing is making it more difficult for compromises that are actually logical...
I have basically said both these things -- the first after I joined a Trammel server and started getting bored with how easy it was, and the second after a few pk experiences that were funny, creative or otherwise interesting (to be fair, those are pretty rare).
The game is just not as fun, or...
Ugh... I was once at a Vietnamese picnic where this dish was served to me (except it was an ostrich egg so three times bigger) and believe it or not I took a bite, just to be a good sport and see what it was like.
My attitude toward PvP in this game is pretty similar.
As for the original...
If you make a new character with a name you like but you messed up the skill distribution when you created it... and you then delete that character... does that immediately free up the name so you can make a new one?
I don't think perma stat will turn this server into Trammel, but I do think it's a bad idea.
Shane wants a solution that will help retain new players, specifically PvM players he said. But as a new, PvM player I don't see how this will help me one bit. If I'm out farming and a red attacks, I...
Well that sucks, but good to know. I was thinking defense looked the most appealing, but I heard that recent armor changes make it less useful.
Guess I'll go with berserker. Is it possible to poison arrows? That would really make it something worth striving for.
Looking at the wiki page for talismans I see that two have distance penalties and one is just for mages. Does this mean an archer who's not a mage shouldn't bother?
If that's the case, is there anything else it would be good for an archer to get?
This is how it should be, imo. Closer to the spirit of the 'living ecosystem' the game creators envisioned.
The ability to plant and grow reagents from seed would also be cool.
Yeah, a hunter of treasure in people's bags. :p
I had to laugh when I stopped by the shop and saw you making friends with the guy who stole your boat... I've met a lot of friendly and helpful people in this game but you take it to a whole nother level. Hope somebody gives you a good deal on a...
At least, yeah. But any characters with a skin color darker than the three palest shades would also have a chance of being targeted, along with anyone wearing a tribal mask, anyone stumbling around in confusion and pain or otherwise acting disabled or "crazy," anyone with an anarchist name, and...
Maybe so. Having never made anything even near that much per hour I couldn't really say. Granted, the first two characters I tried to make were a mage tamer and an archer, which are apparently some of the most expensive grinds in the game so I might have gotten a skewed impression. Also I didn't...
I hear you on the importance of risk/reward balance. Maybe I'm underestimating how much real money people are willing to spend, but if it was like 1k dono coins to get in and its mobs weren't lucrative, I can't imagine players hanging out there beyond the point where they really needed to? I...
Fair enough. The impact would be so minimal though, you could still thieve to your heart's delight pretty much everywhere else so it doesn't seem like a big deal.
Guess it depends on how you define 'new' but I've been on UOF for about a month -- prior to that my only experience was a few months on the original UO where I spent most of my time wandering around taming bunnies.
Basically I've been playing long enough to have become hopelessly addicted, but...
Not every character gets young status.
You want things to be like they were in 97? I actually played then, only briefly but I remember there being more repercussions for reds, because this game was built around the concepts of virtue and vice there were consequences for taking an antisocial...
