Yeah, it seems like there are already ways around the problem like having another character gate or stay hidden nearby to rez you, buying the ring of forgiveness, not using ankhs if there's danger nearby and not accepting a rez if rez killing seems likely.
I think the changes are awesome, including the NPC, although it might be better if Norton came around to inspect buildings at random times (maybe once a week) instead of being parked there all the time. That way some idocs could still only be found by tracking or word of mouth, but we wouldn't...
What if there were rewards not for just any post but for things like welcoming new players and answering questions about the game? Like an ambassador sort of thing.
Forums are kinda becoming obsolete everywhere... it's just the direction the internet has been going in since social media and smartphones started changing the way people communicate online. Discord is easy to use from your phone and the forums are not, especially since Tapatalk was removed, so...
The learning curve is pretty steep, but the wiki is helpful and people are usually happy to explain stuff. I've been playing for a year now and still ask newbie questions in Discord all the time. You don't have to get caught up in the PvP rat race unless you want to, and you don't have to learn...
Welcome! I'd recommend going in UOF's Discord and checking out the looking-for-guild channel, it's an easy way to see what guilds are active and recruiting. Also if you ask for a rune to the bard table I'm sure someone will hook you up.
I just got my tread recently so I don't know what it's like at the higher levels, but what I've seen so far is that it's very slow to level... only activates when you're at 100% stam and since I have to disarm my weapon to chug refresh pots I'm not often at 100%. Also, you have to carry so much...
It isn't "toxic" to raid champs. That's part of the draw of a Felucca ruleset, that people can raid and pk and steal and otherwise take things away from you.
The issue is simply that now that the zerg is gone, raiders are able to eradicate the possibility of a reward for anyone other than...
I think the people suggesting that Fuschino's idea would flood the market with "guaranteed loot" might have missed this important sentence:
Clearly the idea was for people to earn points toward the rewards over time, similar to the conquests system we used to have. It would be a long term goal...
Selling 40k dono at 175k per 1000. Just for fun, if you buy today I'll throw in a free 4th of July boom stick (blessed) with 97 charges! Use it to set off fireworks in Brit while you shop for your butler contract and your meta dye and all the other cool stuff you can buy with 40k dono!
Champ points would definitely get more people doing champs again, by introducing at least some reward to offset the risk.
An alternate solution that's been proposed is for champ rewards to only drop for people who have accumulated enough champ points at that particular champ. But that could be...
