I thought I had read that the poisoning skill increases your chance to resist poison. However, I can't find anything on the wiki or the forums that says as much. Does the poisoning skill add to your chance to resist poison?

It would have been relevant if you had said hyberbolic (that's the adjectival form of hyperbole btw). It's not clear if he was, and if he was, it distracts from the main point entirely.
What I'm saying is that the trade off during UO:R was never between PvM and PvP. It was between the individual combat skills. But whatever you chose, you could fight players or mobs with it.
IMO, most of this has to do with provo being way too powerful against mobs, alchemy being way too weak...
This, IMO, is an important part of UO.
But you cant do anything at someone else's expense if there isn't anyone else in the game or at the champ.
Losing 1 hr+ of work induces a lot of rage in a lot people. IMO, nothing causes more devoted players to leave than this does.

This really has nothing to do with my tamer. If you read my three suggestions - you'd note that none of them advocated a buff to tamers (or to anything on my tamer's template) and one of them advocated nerfing one of the skills that my tamer has (provo).
