Hey all! Super excited to be able to get back into the game. Stumbled onto the game on Twitch watching CannaMannTv play a little. And I used to play quite a lot back from around 1998 to 2004ish. I played on the Great Lakes shard, and my main characters name was Jumbalia. Yes I know it is spelled wrong, no idea how I chose the name and spelled it wrong. But he was my favorite character :D.

Hope to be able to play this quite a bit and get back into the swing of things. Anyone else play on Great Lakes. I was a member of TUR and OOT, would be awesome if I could touch base with some of my long lost friends from the game.

I played back on Great Lakes, was in a guild CVN - Coven of the Secret Shadow. (or maybe it was CSS). Anyways, played for 5 years or so at the start, just found my way here a little over a year ago, and haven't been able to put it back down.

There are quite a few of us here from GL - not a lot of options out there :)

Very cool, I cant wait to get started. Having issues logging in right now. But Ill be installing UO on a different computer soon so not too worried. I hope the game doesnt suck my soul away like it did before :p. Its all that I can do to not boot it up at work and start playing.

I dont recognize your guild, but it would be really cool to run into some guys that we all used to play with.

Our guild ran in the RP scene, with Temple of Mondain, Highland Guard, Bloodrock Orcs.. I also ran factions solo for a long time as Calypso Kid, and generally hung around PvP'rs - but I can't remember all my chars.. I think Avalon, Levity, Calypso Kid... were my main 3.

Avalon kinda rings a bell. But hell its been 14 years since I have played, I only really remember the few that I was really close with. Outy, Skye, Tie Domi, LadyHawke.

Hopefully I can find a group to hang with here too. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

welcome back...I played in 1997 on Lake Superior shard for years. Was Scribe/mage back then. A lot great memories brought back on this shard. It's not perfect but still very good

Thank you guys! I have really been enjoying my time playing again. The community so far has been great, ran into one PK that was rather terrible. However I am even worse being so out of practice so I ran :p.

I played on Great Lakes back then, I was "ogre" and my brother was "Judas Cloud." We were briefly in a guild named KoV (Knights of the Void) and were at war with a guild named SiN. I also remember Kazola's treetop keg and winery (a roleplaying place) that was near the town of Yew. I also remember the ShadowClan orcs that were there!

I recognize the guild tag KoV & SiN - pretty sure we had some interactions with both of you - so tough remember details from my early twenties, when I was partying every night, and playing UO drunk most nights... :)

I totally remember Judas Cloud, was he a hammer/mage?

I was a member of TuR and OOT (The Unruled, and Outys Outlaws) OOT was our PvP guild and we had quite a few run ins with SiN. Seeing that we shared a similar area around Yew. TuR was north of the Yew gate.

Also remember the Orcs, they could be quite amusing!

I think he used to call his build a "meditation warrior" where he would use weapons, but also had meditation and magery. I wish I had some old screenshots from those days, but they are all long lost.
