break discord#buying-selling into categories

Real estate got its own channel and that worked. There are just too many players and too much goods for one channel.

They did this once before and everyone hated it. Trust me when I say having Buy and Sell in the same category is better.
Maybe if they were to do it like by item type, but idk would be a whole lot of channels to look through, and that really hurts sellers, when selling is already pretty hard.

You can't do it by item type, unless you are going to be generic, it's a real pain as a person selling to go through multiple channels to post stuff as well, as the person reading things who are looking for deals, going through multiple channels is a PITA. Every night I spend 30 mins scrolling through the buy/sell seeing if there's things I can sell, or things I can buy.. when it was on two diff channels after 2 days I was already annoyed with it, on top of that, you have to start entering your search requirements in multiple channels, unless you are going to do a generic search across all channels which picks up crap from general and stuff you don't want to see..

I for one don't want to see multiple buy/sell channels.. One caveat, feel free to take SS Ads, and move them to a new channel, since that is the #1 culprit that keeps creating these requests to split.

Oh also - limit people from posting in buy/sell to once per hour, and you won't have the repeat ADs scrolling everyone up.

Unfortunately, as so many people are looking to both buy certain items and sell other certain items at the same time, when the buy/sell channel split last, alot of those people would just post their entire buy/sell list in both channels so as to not miss out. As above players mentioned, this then created twice the realestate to browse through with no real meaningful gains.

Without a trade channel mod(s), it’s unlikely to work a second time round and doubtful the benefits of the change are worth the hassle of running market mods. (Just my opinion)

+1 for splitting the channels. When I want to buy something I want to search for sellers. When I want to sell something I want someone to be able to search by seller.

We need something. Too many people and too much goods for one channel.

Create a dedicated channel for:

SKILL SCROLLS & POWER SCROLLS

Done.

^ this would be an improvement. Staff is busy, but this is a five minute task.
