Buying/selling dexer talismans

I am disappointed that meta tamers seem to have it made, there are leveling services, and people selling metas all the time, seems wrong mages and dexxers can't have it the same. I do understand the logic of taking pride in something you worked towards, but isn't that up to the individual to find what they take pride in, isn't that the point of UO - freedom of choice?

I can see how moving it to one of your other 2 accounts could be troublesome, people would find ways to sell a talisman, if there was some way to do that, it'd be better, but the minimum here should be account bound versus character bound - it does take months for a casual+ gamer to level these talismans and relics, and then one day you decide you want it on a different named character, or you change your focus from one style of RP to another and want to change the main character you are playing. No one is going to start the talisman grind over, but you want to use that talisman on a different character, you've put the time into it already, let us move it around the account.

You won't let us have name change deeds, change the talismans to be account bound versus character bound.

The relative ease of obtaining a meta pet is offset by the risk of it being stolen, whereas the difficulty of grinding a tali is offset by the security of it being bound. The way it is now is balanced.

Any template switch won't be a dramatic one because there are basically not a lot of skills to play with outside of the standard 5x for any serious tali character, so I don't like that idea of people switching talis on their chars to be incognito and have a new name and face. Because that's all you really gain by an account-bound talisman....people just trying to be sneaky. Same reason there are no permanent name changes. I don't see this changing.

No reason to move a tali over to a new char, change your char to fit your tali. I mean what are you gonna do drop hiding for parry? Oh boy.

I think this has not been implemented or really a concern with the staff because I recall at one point, Shane stated that he wants players to be held accountable for their behaviours and how they play, in game. If you made it transferable or able to sell, then who is to say you cannot create "drama" and then delete that character, make a new one with a different name, and start again. Lets be honest, it doesn't take to long to train a mage or melee character... If you are even being "lazy", you can buy the skill ball from the dono vendors... Therefore, you could honestly delete a character, buy the skill ball, then be back in game, in what, 2 minutes? I think that these are character bound, for the same reason, there are no name change deeds. The argument for tamers can be the same, but honestly, who would delete a 120 tamer and start over? Not many, even though some might, but it doesn't seem like it would happen often and there is no skill ball for a tamer, just taming skill scrolls. Don't get me wrong, some players have the income to do this, but not many. Finally, this holds accountability to the individual/player and ensures that proper educate is maintained. Therefore, I have to disagree with the ability to sell or trade them, if the main focus of UOF is to hold individuals accountable.

Perhaps this is off topic but...

Dexer end game has been ignored since talismans were introduced YEARS ago and that is pathetic.

Zerkers don't need a buff but that doesn't mean they don't need more options or content. Tamers didn't need a buff but were given the choice to create steeds and spiders.

Defense talisman could be given a buff to make them somewhat more desirable, I would suggest letting firebreath and remedy proc every time just like other talsimans proc 100% after cool down. Also, let defense talisman reduce ALL forms damage by mobs (life drain, poison damage, mind blasts, etc). A Max zerker is better than a max defense talisman in nearly all scenarios because a zerker can wear invul slayer armor and ride a swampy which means they aren't squishy at all. Basically, zerkers are more useful than defense talisman in PvM and it would make sense that they should be more equally desirable.

Character bound talismans? I don't think its a bad idea but it would make sense that meta pets would have to be character bound.

I hear many players that play dexers as their primary echo the same frustration. Why isn't there better end game for dexers? Tamers get new content regularly and its been YEARS since dexers have seen anything. To me if you are on UOF and don't play a tamer then its somewhat pointless. That's where all the end game is. I've heard staff mention possible ideas for new meta pets but never any ideas for dexers. Not to be overly harsh but I can see why so many non-tamers have left. Devs ignore their play style.
